By Air: There is an international airport, Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, which is well connected with Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata. There are several direct flights available to visit the holy place. The airport Maharishi Valmiki is only 12-13 km away from the holy place. You will find buses, taxis, autos, and e-rickshaws available from the airport to reach the holy place. You can book cab also. The fare will be according to the vehicle. Bus fare will be Rs.50 to 60 per person. You will have to pay Rs.400 to Rs.500 for auto reservation and Rs.1000 to Rs.1200 for taxi. A Special E-Bus services are available from the airport or other places in the city to the Dham, and the fare will be only Rs.30 to Rs.40 per person.

By train: The best way to visit the pilgrimage site is by train. Ayodhya has been arranged for the Ram temple in such a way that direct trains are available from almost all parts of the country. There are two main railway stations near Ayodhya Dham. One is Ayodhya Dham Railway Station, and the other is Ayodhya Kent. Ayodhya Dham station is very near, only 2 km away from the city Center. Ayodhya Kent is 15 km away from the holy place.

By Bus: The Dham is well connected with other major cities in India. AC and semi-AC buses are available from all the major cities, like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata also. The bus terminal is only 2 km away from the pilgrimage site. AC sleeper buses are found from Delhi, and the fare will be Rs.1300 to Rs.1400.

Note: Cloak Room facilities are available near the railway station, and some are near Birla Dharamshala, and lots of cloakrooms are in the temple area. You can keep your luggage and bags at a minimum price.

Delhi to Ayodhya Visit by Train

The pilgrimage is well connected with the capital city Delhi, by railway. The distance is around 700 km from the capital city, Delhi. Several trains run daily and weekly from Delhi to Ayodhya, like Vande Bharat (22426), Ayodhya Express (14206), and Kaifiyaat SF Express (12226), and some others also. The total journey is around 10 to 12 hours.

Vande Bharat Express (22426)

The fastest train, Vande Bharat, departs from Anand Vihar Terminal (ANVT) at 06:10 AM and arrives at Ayodhya Kent (AYC) at 02:30 PM (same day). The fastest train takes around 8 hours and 20 minutes and runs every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (except Wednesday). The ticket price will be Rs.1600 for AC Chair Car and for the Executive Chair Car (EC) Rs.3000. You can also find the direct train from major cities, like Kolkata, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad to Ayodhya.

The Ayodhya Express and Kaifiyaat SF Express run daily from Delhi (DLI) station to Ayodhya Dham station. How to Book a Ticket for Rammandir Darshan

There are three types of Darshan facilities provided by the Ayodhya Ram Mandir Committee, like 1. General Darshan 2. Sugam Darshan and 3. VIP Darshan. You can get the tickets online from the official website.

General Darshan

There are general darshan facilities available for all devotees that are absolutely free. But there will be a long line to visit the temple. In a normal day, you have need of 30 to 40 minutes for darshan, but on any weekend day or special day, it may be 2 to 3 hours.

Sugam Darshan

It is a pre-booked darshan with a separate queue for faster access. It is also free of cost. If you collect the Sugam Darshan ticket from online, your access will be easy, and there are no long lines here. So, you must book a Sugam Darshan ticket 15 days in advance to avoid gathering.

VIP Darshan
