Agatti

Bangaram is the most beautiful atoll. There is no inhabitant, only govt. resort and their staff are there. The islet is only where alcohol drinking is permitted. The Islet is only 12 km from Agatti. Its area is 1.2 sq. km, length is 1.2 km, average width is 0.7 km, and the coastline is 3.9 km. The white sandy beach is the biggest attraction, and a lot of water activities can be done in Bangaram. But the atoll is famous for a lot of luxury resorts.

Kelpeni

Kelpeni is an inhabited islet in the Arabian Sea in India. The main attractions in the atoll are the golden sandy beach, crystal-clear water, and coral reefs, which fascinate the tourists. The atoll is 287 km away from Kochi city and is situated west of the city. Area is around 3 sq. km. The atoll is also popular for tourists and a major part of tourist visits Kelpeni Islet every year. The islet offers water activities like scuba diving, kayaking, snorkelling, glass-bottom boat riding, and also fishing. The other adventurous sports can also do in the islet like jetskiing, water skiing, under water walking, and also can parasailing on the beach. Underwater walking is a unique experience on the ocean floor, which is an amazing activity to try at Kelpeni Atoll.

Kavaratti 

Kavaratti is renowned for its unspoiled white sandy beaches and lively coral reefs, and it is the capital of Lakshadweep. Kavaratti is one of the most developed islands.  The beaches’ blue crystal water is perfect for swimming and also sunbathing. The atoll is 360 km away from Cochin City. Kavaratti  offers aquarium, light house, and can enjoy local life and their culture. The lighthouse has 184 stairs, and a gallery on the top of the lighthouse. Entry fees are only Rs.10 for entry into the lighthouse, to see the beautiful view of Kavaratti. You can also visit Kavaratti with the govt. Samudram Package. Kadmat 

Kadmat is around 76 km away from Agatti. From Agatti you will find boats and ships to reach the tourist destination. There is no any private stay option, has govt. stay accommodation and will have pre booking to stay. Kadmat Island is also recognized as Cardamom and is 9.3km in length, width. The island has a great lagoon width of 1.5 km, whereas the covered area is 25 sq. km. 

The island has inhabited village of population 5389 according to 2011 census. The tourist spot offers water activities like Kayaking, snorkeling, and scuba diving, and also glass-bottomed boat trips, and the island’s main attraction is its colourful coral reefs. 

The month October to May is the best time to visit Kadmat; at that time, the pleasant climate with 12 to 20 degree temperatures is comfortable for tourists.

Minicoy 

Minicoy is an islet of Lakshadweep and is known as Maliku Islet. Minicoy Islet beach is situated in Arabian Sea and is 398 km away from Cochin City of state Kerala. Total area 4.8 sq. km, exclusively known for vibrant coral reefs. And white sandy beach it is the 2nd largest island in Lakshadweep, luxury beach resorts is an ideal destination. The Lighthouse is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Minicoy. The lighthouse was established by Sir James Douglass. Light house has on top a gallery provides a breath-taking view of the whole island on 2nd February 1885, standing of height 49.5m. You cannot visit Minicoy from Agatti, You can only visit Minicoy Islet from Cochin (Kochi) by ship and also visit with the samundram package, but only one day a week, you will find ships to visit Minicoy.

Largest Island in Lakshadweep

The Androt is the largest island in Lakshadweep, with a length of 4.6 km and a width of 1.4 km, for a total area of 4.9 sq. km. The island is around 290 km away from Kochi city and 119 km from Kavaratti. The atoll is not popular due to its small lagoon area.

Smallest Island in Lakshadweep

Bitra Island is the smallest islet in Lakshadweep, and its area is only 0.105 sq. km, with a length of 0.57km, and a width of 0.28km. Bitra is situated 483 km from Kochi. It has the largest lagoon, covering 45.61 sq. km. offering pristine beaches.
