How to reach Sanbeel, the largest lake in Assam in India

Sonbeel is located in almost the middle of the Varak Valley in Assam. So you can easily visit Sonbil from Karimganj, Silchar, Badarpur, Nilambazar, and Hailakandi. The visitors may decide on the place that is the nearest to your hometown. If you want to visit from Darmanagar or Agartala, your nearest place will be Karimganj or Nilambazar. If you are coming from Guwahati or another state, your nearest place will be Silchar or Badarpur. You reach Silchar or Badarpur or Karimganj or Hailakandi first from any other place by bus, train, or air. Silchar Airport (IXS) is the nearest airport to the tourist place and is located at Kumbhirgram, around 80 km away from the tourist spot. Badarpur to Sonbeel Lake

The distance from Badarpur station to Sonbill is around 25 km. There are no direct buses to reach Sanbill. You have to go to Sanbill via Hailakandi town. You will find several buses (ASTC or travellers) from Badarpur station to Hailakandi town, and the fare will be around Rs.50 to Rs.60.

Karimganj to Sonbill Park

The distance from Karimganj to Sonbill is around 43 km. You will find several buses (ASTC or travellers) from Karimganj bus station to Hailakandi town, and the fare will be around Rs.90 to Rs.100. From the Hailakandi town, follow the same way to visit the tourist spot.
